Provides tax preparation and planning services for client engagements.
Conducts day-to day management by taking lead role in running the client engagement and delivering consulting and compliance tax services to clients Ensure accurate, timely filing of federal, state and local income tax returns and other business-related filings Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in firm tax procedures Review tax returns prepared by staff, prepare complex tax returns and quarterly/annual tax projections Manage tax authorities’ examinations, including responses to notices and requests for information Manage and mentor members of staff to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement Recognize and inform partners of opportunities to increase level and types of service to clients Work with firm marketing resources and proposals to identify and seize new client business opportunities

Required Qualifications :

Education/Experience: 5+ years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role and at least 2 years of experience in management role. Preferred candidates have a current CPA license and a master’s degree in an accounting discipline.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlooks Email and Calendar and QuickBooks; Knowledge of Ultra Tax and Thomson Reuters Accounting products a benefit. Must be tech-savvy and able to resolve basic IT issues while working in a paperless environment.
