Senior Financial Analyst
- Evaluate archiving opportunities identified by SAP and discuss impacts to the related Controllership and Business Process Managers
- Document the current state archiving process/policies; assist in assessing future state impacts
- Identify and review custom objects inventory wherein capability does not exist
- Document reporting requirements and communicate them to technology partners to identify solutions
- Coordinate execution and testing of new archiving opportunities
- Develop methodology to track database storage savings from implemented archiving opportunities and track savings
- Provide weekly executive progress updates on the various archiving opportunities
- Support change management efforts through documentation and training, when required
This role is in the Financial Systems Enterprise organization and will require accounting background to ensure financial integrity and controls are delivered. The incumbent will partner closely with Finance areas to achieve best practice solutions and efficiencies and will work with business partners in Technology to jointly deliver the solution.
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3- 5 years of demonstrated high-level professional knowledge and skills in finance systems and processes.
- Experience working for large company and within a matrix organization
- Passion for and knowledge of emerging technologies to deliver best practice ensuring financial systems integrity and controls
- Expert knowledge/experience in Financial Systems and area for business and technical audiences
- Experience supporting change for projects that encompass SAP
- Experienced in using the Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborate, establish relationships and build credibility with internal clients and to navigate organizational structures
- Demonstrated multi-tasking and project management skills to manage workload from logistics to strategic efforts, while adhering to deadlines and high quality
- Demonstrated self-starter
- Ability to work effectively remotely
- Ability to understand and adapt to different audiences and clients
- Ability to develop a logical and persuasive approach and outline for a presentation/deck
- Graduate Degree Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field (e.g. MBA, MIS)
- CPA or CMA license, or equivalent
- PMP or other professional project management certification
- Six Sigma certification
- Experience in using SAP or another ERP
- Ability to demonstrate a strong business acumen
- Experience implementing financial processes and systems
- Experience using systems designed to manage issues, changes and testing (e.g. Service Manager, ALM)
- Experience in using Business Warehouse, Business Objects, or other reporting tools
- Experience developing and delivering end user training
- Knowledge of special ledgers or fixed assets in SAP preferable but not an absolute requirement.
- This role must be local to Glendale and the team is going in to the office often, but on no fixed or set days.
- Interview will be with two Financial Systems Managers.
- SAP knowledge and ability to analyze data is critical.
- Excel knowledge a must as well including pivot tables.
- Data mining experience.
- IT coding knowledge and some accounting experience needed as well.
- Hours 8AM - 5PM
