Job Description :
A very successful travel and leisure company located in the San Fernando Valley is seeking a  Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A.



THE SFA of Financial Planning and Analysis will play a critical role in driving the worldwide budget/forecast for one of the premier players within the leisure/cruising industry. Critically acclaimed and highly rated, the Company has historically recorded double-digit growth and continues to have expansion plans. Monthly KPI reporting, the annual budget, long long-term projections are all provided by FP&A, and as such, this candidate will join a highly-regarded team that touches all parts of the organization. As the Company continues to expand into new markets and launch new product offerings, s/he will also be tasked to prepare key operational, strategic and financial analysis. Given its significant global operations, this role will also require coordination with peers located in other countries.

 



Primary Responsibilities 



  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and five-year financial plan

    • Collaborate with business partners around the company gaining insight and knowledge that could affect forecast 



  • Monthly preparation of actual results to budget/forecast

  • Manage monthly and ad hoc reports and dashboards that offer a clear snapshot of business KPIs, highlighting trends and analyzing cause of change to goals and forecast

  • Responsible for tracking and executing debt compliance requirements

  • Assist with preparation of materials and presentations to Board of Directors, company shareholders and financial institutions, and help with earnings call materials


Required Qualifications :
Position Requirements:

This position is ideally suited for an individual who is detail-oriented and driven by growth and change. This individual should be extremely analytical, highly organized, have excellent time management skills and strong relationship management capabilities. Other requirements include:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 

  • 2 - 4 years of public accounting (Big 4 a plus), investment banking or management consulting experience or within the finance function of an organization 

  • Strong understanding of accounting financial statements including cash flows

  • Highly analytical and able to synthesize large amounts of data

  • Well-developed communication skills, written and verbal

  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and takes a proactive approach
