Successful billion dollar company in the San Fernando Valley is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst.  We foster a collaborative, goal-oriented work environment with a focus on small teams, action, and continuous improvement. The Senior Financial Analyst that will report directly to the Senior Manager of the Accounting & Financial Analysis team. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting our monthly, quarterly, and annual close process of over 70 international subsidiaries to ensure the quality and accuracy of the financial results.


The Senior Financial Analyst’s primary role will be to prepare detail fluctuation analyses of the Group results to budget/forecast and historical periods for key Financial Statements Line items at key product or entity levels. This role involves coordination and partnering with both various international controllers and corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team (“FPA”). This role would also assist with ad hoc analyses for external fundraising and internal management reporting. This role may also help with technical accounting and process improvement initiatives.


Additionally, while the Company’s accounting and finance department is currently working remote, the expectation is that this position will be primarily office-based once employees are able to return to the office.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

o    Responsible for preparing detail income statement analyses of key cost accounts. Analyses performed with multiple views of financial data, product, and geographic markets, against similar views of budget/forecast information and prior period results. The purpose of the analyses performed are to understand business trends, identify key accounting topics, ensure consistent application of Group accounting policies, and proactively provide financial updates to FPA team.

o    Assist in preparing monthly executive summary presentations and quarterly/annual Board of Director presentations of the Group’s results and key accounting areas.

o    Assist in developing and building analyses for new products and new joint venture in China, by understanding the similarities and differences between existing products and new products.

o    Collaborate with FPA, consolidation, financial reporting, and international accounting teams to help ensure quality and accuracy of financial results, including participating in key monthly close meetings.

o    Assist with process improvement initiatives and control enhancements over financial analysis process, including maintaining sufficient supporting information to evidence control procedures.

o    Assist in preparing materials and coordinating with auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits.

o    Assist in ad hoc analysis for external fundraising and internal management reporting, on as needed basis.



Required Qualifications :


o    Bachelor’s degree in the accounting or finance field

o    Must have at least 2 years in public accounting, CPA a plus

o    Aptitude for performing numerical analysis of data and formulating conclusions and/or solutions 

o    Strong written and verbal communication skills

o    Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

o    Must have general knowledge of US GAAP, experience or exposure to IFRS a plus

o    Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or OneStream a plus

o    Proficient in advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables

o    Problem-solver who enjoys working in a changing environment

o    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the desire and ability to identify, recommend and lead improvements

o    Demonstrates positive attitude and takes a proactive approach
