Purchasing Analyst
We are seeking a Purchasing Analyst to join our client's growing team. The Purchasing Analyst’s main duties include estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models. You will also serve as a point of contact for internal and external communications involving purchases. This role requires a team-oriented professional, who is highly analytical with excellent communication skills, and who can work expediently to assure accuracy of all transactions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop effective forecast models and demand patterns based on industry trends
- Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management and purchasing team
- Conduct monthly reports on inventory levels
- Attend weekly/monthly meetings with the Purchasing Manager and as needed
- Serve as a point of contact and maintaining positive relationships with vendors
- Place purchase orders with vendors, while enforcing all purchasing policies and procedures
- Track and monitor purchases, from initial order to delivery
- Resolve any discrepancies between product deliveries and purchase orders
- Liaise with marketing department on a regular basis to share inventory plans and to keep abreast of marketing initiatives
- Prepare ad hoc reports related to purchasing, inventory levels, in stock goods, trends, etc.
- Assist Purchasing Manager with projects as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
- Two years of Purchasing experience preferred
- Microsoft Office skills required with a strong working knowledge of Excel
- Experience and full understanding of ERP Systems and data flow
- Strong communication skills required
- Strong familiarity of pop culture is a plus
