Position Overview



The IT Support Specialist/Level 1 is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software with the highest levels of customer service. The Support Specialist responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problems, and determines and implements solution. Frequent issues include iPhone and Android questions, software training/troubleshooting, corporate website questions, software/hardware installations, general printer issues and email management.


 


Responsibilities         



  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware

  • Work in ticketing system and ensure proper documentation, tracking and closure of all inquiries

  • Follow up with customers, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution

  • Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support

  • Conduct staff and agent moves for PCs, monitors, and other related equipment as needed

  • Deploy new equipment including installing OS on new PCs via image and physical PC setup and configuration

  • Visit remote offices for support/train users at other DE sites as necessary

  • Research new tools/procedures/applications that can further enhance operations within the organization

  • Handle customer services with the highest levels of professionalism


Required Qualifications :
 Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred or equivalent level of experience

  • At least 1 year of Help Desk experience, or equivalent technical knowledge

  • Exceptional customer service and communications skills

  • Proficient in both Mac and PC

  • Ability to provide expert and creative solutions to user problems/questions to ensure user productivity for the following: Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Chrome, Firefox, iOS, Android, Printers, LAN support.

  • Strong organizational, time management and follow-up skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
