As a Financial Analyst with DE&E Technology Finance, you will collaborate with peers and leaders in the Finance organization to prepare strategic financial plans for key forecast periods (annual budget, long-range plan, and quarterly forecasts). You will also work closely with Accounting and Controllership on the recurring quarterly close process. This role will be responsible for supporting the Engineering Services functional area under DE&E Technology. Engineering Services plays a vital role in delivering Disney’s Direct-to-Consumer products to our customers and fans, as well as powering Disney’s broadcast and cable networks. As we support this dynamic space, our goal is to develop the DE&E Technology Finance team into a premier organization that can carry Technology into the future.

 



  • Prepare forecasts, annual operating plan (AOP), long-range plan (LRP), and variance analysis for Engineering Services pillar as directed by Segment and Corporate FP&A.

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive forecasting model for supported areas

  • Work on ad-hoc strategic analysis and reporting as requested by Technology leaders, lines of business (LOBs) and/or Finance Consolidations team

  • Support quarter close by collaborating with Accounting to prepare accruals, reclasses, prepaid expenses, and various journal entries as necessary; Report variance explanations as part of a quarterly close package.

  • Analyze trends to support storytelling and influence decision-making

  • Contribute to presentations for review with senior leaders



Required Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience

  • Collaborative mindset combined with the ability to work independently

  • Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skillset

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g. MBA, CPA) preferred but not required

  • Experience with ERP software such as SAP and COGNOS preferred but not required


Additional Information:



  • Role is hybrid and the current days in the office are Tuesday and Wednesday.

  • A few years' of experience is required, preferably in public accounting, banking or tech finance.

  • Excel skills required.
