Job Description :

Small private company that manages a portfolio of commercial real estate buildings located in Southern California is seeking a Bookkeeper/Accountant to work hybrid.  The office is located in beautiful Malibu. Competitive hourly wage based on applicant’s experience and training.


 


DUTIES:


·         Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting         transactions using appropriate computer software


·         Processing payments


·         Conducting daily banking activities


·         Receiving and recording vouchers and checks


·         Bank Runs


·         Maintaining files (scanning and filing)


·         Answering phone calls


·         Review vendor bills to ensure accuracy


·         Prepare other account reconciliations


·         Adhere to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines


·         Update financial data in a timely manner


·         Ensure that information is accurate and react in a timely manner if the information is not accurate


·         Maintain and organize electronic accounting filing system


·         Handle office administrative duties and contribute to the team by assisting with other projects as needed


·         As needed, initiate and manage accounting and office projects.


 


 


Required Qualifications :


REQUIREMENTS:


 


·         4 years of experience in accounting


·         Analytical mind


·         Critical thinker


·         Love for numbers


·         Excellent understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices


·         Excellent knowledge of Excel


·         QuickBooks Online Plus experience preferred


·         High attention to detail


·         Excellent team player.
