Job Description :

Very successful, publicly traded company in Oxnard is seeking a new A/R Manager.


 


JOB SUMMARY


Responsible for all accounts receivable and credit functions of the company including collections and negotiating past due accounts, credit analysis and approval, sales analysis, and projections, and overseeing the credit file maintenance and document retention functions.


 


 


Required Qualifications :

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


§ Manage collection activities to ensure that receivables are current and meet established guidelines for the collateralization of company line(s) of credit


§ Develop and monitor metrics as they pertain to the receivables function


§ Publish key metrics to sales and accounting teams


§ Identify and monitor trends to predict potential problems


§ Develop proactive approach to collections activities


§ Perform root cause analysis on problem accounts


§ Create action plans and team with sales to correct processes and improve collections metrics


§ Assess counterparty risk of pending transactions and recommending appropriate actions to mitigate exposure


§ Developing recommendations for accounting and financial management regarding the resolution of potential loss exposure with counterparties


§ Analyzing operations, automate processes, and improve current workflows while remaining SOX compliant


§ Monitor the performance of key SOX controls to ensure operating effectiveness


§ Responsible for credit file maintenance and document retention relative to customers


§ Perform credit reviews of customers


§ Analyze past due accounts and prepare list of write-offs for uncollectible balances


§ Perform other duties as requested


 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS


§ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration or similar field


§ Minimum 3-5 years of Accounting experience


§ Prior experience managing teams


§ Strong Excel skills


§ Prior experience in D365 or similar ERP a plus


§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills


§ Ability to interface effectively with multiple departments and all levels of the organization


§ Ability to analyze financial statements and apply related knowledge when analyzing data or providing analysis
