Accounting Manager

Job Description :
Our client is a global leader in designing and manufacturing single-use systems and components for drug and vaccine manufacturing and other biotech applications. Their core manufacturing capabilities include injection molding, cleanroom assembly, tubing extrusion, injection-stretch blow molding, fabrication, and other proprietary technologies. They have a global footprint of 5 manufacturing sites worldwide with redundant capabilities in place to provide their customers with an unrivaled level of vertical integration and supply-chain security



Position will manage the day-to-day accounting functions for all client sites in North America with a primary focus on corporate accounting in Ventura County office. Responsibilities include management of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, assets, cost, and tax accounting, ensuring appropriate implementation of accounting policies and procedures aligned with GAAP guidelines, and supervising accounting staff.





  • Responsible for all aspects of accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, general ledger entries, bank reconciliation, cash applications, and collections.

  • Responsible for timely delivery and accurate financial processing, month-end / year-end close, cash management reports, and balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.

  • Maintain the General Ledger system. Prepare and review appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations.

  • Supervise Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable staff.

  • Prepare weekly cash forecast and bank activity postings.

  • Maintain fixed assets system and prepare annual 571-L unsecured property tax return.

  • Post transactions daily in ERP for activities from shipments, shop floor, purchase order receipts, and AP payments.

  • Partner with Operations and Customer Service teams on sales margin analysis.

  • Process new customer credit references and assign credit limits and terms.

  • Review and maintain customer credit limits including monitoring customer/job credit hold.

  • Assist Customer Service team, Sales Reps, and Buyers regarding customer and vendor matters.

  • Support customer return and RMA process with Customer Service department.

  • Partner with Controller and/or HR on employee matters including performance, coaching, terminations, and new hires.

  • Oversee preparation of annual MISC-1099.

  • Assist with year-end financial audit and tax preparation activities.

  • Coordinate annual budget process.

  • Proactively and effectively respond to inquiries from various levels of management and maintain good working relationships with internal and external contacts.

  • Participate in ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications :
Education:



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

  • CPA or MBA preferred.


 


Required Experience and Competencies:



  • 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Must be deadline oriented with excellent time management skills.

  • Confidentiality, Productivity.

  • ERP knowledge required (SAP, Oracle, JDE, etc.). Infor: SyteLine a plus.

  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP

  • Advance skills in Excel, knowledge of Power BI and other Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Requires valid CA Driver License and proof of automobile insurance.
