About the PositionWe are seeking a (Senior) tax manager with 10-15 years of experience with a mid to large sized local firm with a concentration or a lot of experience in Real Estate and partnerships tax matters to join a top mid-sized local firm. This position is open due to firm growth and is not a replacement. You will be primarily reviewing Partnership, S-Corporation, Individual, and Trust Tax Returns as well as assisting with tax planning, tax research, and complex analysis projects. In addition, you will assist with staff training. This position starts with a generous annual salary + bonuses, and you will be paid for every hour of overtime as well.About The FirmThis is a full-service, very sophisticated accounting firm that specializes in representing extremely high net worth individuals and small to mid-size businesses with a high concentration in the real estate industry. However, there is a reasonable work-life balance and flexibility as to how and where the work gets done.Job Responsibilities: Primarily review tax returns, specifically those with Partnerships, S-Corps, Individuals, Estates and Trusts. High level tax research Represent clients in tax controversy matters Work effectively with partners and all team members to develop solutions for client needs. Direct contact with clients. Provide tax planning and special projects that require analysis, judgment, and creative thinking. Maintain an understanding on relevant multi state tax and foreign compliance policies. Keep up with industry best practices and incorporate them as appropriate. Maintain and learn new skills and assist with in-house staff trainingKnowledge, Skills, and Qualifications: College degree in accounting or similar field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. Masters in tax preferred (MST) Minimum 10-15 years' experience in public tax accounting Experience with partnership tax matters Experience and strong proficiency in Excel and a paperless office experience: Software experience in the following areas is desirable: Lacerte, QuickBooks.Compensation & Benefits: Starting base salary This is a non-exempt position, which means you will be paid overtime. Ability to work a certain number of hours from home; you will be provided a computer to use at home This position is eligible for annual bonuses depending on firm profitability and individual & team performance baseline bonus is equal to 50% of tax season overtime. 401(k) Retirement plan w/employer contribution of 3% of wages Generous Paid Time Off program Company subsidized health Insurance
